For the past two years KBFK has provided kits and sports equipment in support of The Lilla Sports and Story Telling Festival. The fantastic, selfless work of the volunteers that pull the festival together each year is an inspiration to us all at KBFK.

Westpac Foundation Community Grant
We are thrilled to announce that for the third year running kit bag for kids has been named as one the Westpac Foundation Community Grant recipients for 2019. The $10,000 grant will help us to continue to help disadvantaged australian kids fully participate in sport.
Regional Achievement Award
The Awards encourage, acknowledge and reward the valuable contributions that individuals, communities and businesses make throughout regional NSW and the ACT.
NATIONAL ABORIGINAL SPORTING CHANCE ACADEMY (NASCA)
“In June 2019 the NASCA team delivered a week of education and cultural programs to over 250 Aboriginal kids in the remote Communities of Epenarra, Canteen Creek, Papunya, Haasts Bluff and Ali Curung. Thanks to Kit Bag for Kids who donated over 150 sports balls to these communities, every kid now has access to a ball to throw around.” Check out nasca.org.au for more information on how the organisation works with young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, actively engaging with their families and communities to ensure programs are community driven and sustainable.

ISOLATED CHILDREN & PARENTS ASSOCIATION
ICAP is a great not for profit that works tirelessly to ensure children who live in rural and remote Australia gain equitable access to education. www.icpa.com.au The Alice Springs branch of the organisation contacted KBFK to ask us to sponsor a social development weekend for 5-14 year olds. We were delighted to help and provided kits as part of the superb ‘show bags’ put together by the organisers of the event. The kids got an opportunity to try all manner of sports including cricket and football and were involved in some exciting robotic and IT interactive classrooms. Meanwhile, Parents and Caregivers got some well earned free time. KBFK is hoping to do more with ICAP in the future.
YIRARA GIRLS ACADEMY
“Here is a team photo of our Girls with the Bulldogs Footy uniform on. Last Friday we participated in the Mc Leod Cup (named after Andrew Mc Leod, and run by him), and we ended up making it to the Grand Final. Unfortunately we were beaten by St Phillips College. The Girls loved the new uniforms and what better way to “unveil” them, than at the Mc Leod Cup. Once again, thank you for your support, and we really appreciate it.” Beverley Angeles, Co-ordinator
