Sydney Junior Sporting clubs donate
Sydney based junior sporting clubs and schools coming together to support kids less fortunate. Thanks to the Land Cove Cats (AFL), Rouse Hill Rams (Soccer) and Oxford Falls Grammar School for your donations.Here are some of the schools with your stuff. Ampilatwatja is about 3 hrs south east from Tennant Creek, the kids loved the gear. Neutral Junction is a small school situated on a Station called Neutral Junction. The community is called Tara which is about 5 mins drive from the station. The gear was very appreciated.
Tennant Creek Soccer Carnival
August 2022 Newcastle Waters made the 600km round trip to participate in the inaugural Interschool Tennant Creek football tournament. The team looked great in their kits donated by St Michael’s FC.
Mornington Island State School, QLD

Alta-1 College Kununurra
Two of the fabulous students at Alta-1 College in Kununurra sporting the mighty Lane Cove Cats AFL jerseys. Kit Bag For Kids is grateful to the boys and girls at Lane Cove for donating their playing guernseys. Many thanks to the fantastic Anj at Alta-1 for reaching out and also sharing the feedback. Anj says “There are a lot of Dockers and Eagles fans here, so some could not be convinced to be photographed in the Cats colours – lol”
NSW Far West Active Fest
Kit Bag For Kids and MALO Republic provided mountains of free kit and sports equipment for the kids of Far West, NSW who attended the NSW Government Active Fests. The events were held at Goodooga, Collarenebri, Lightning Ridge, Walgett, Wilcannia, Broken Hill, Menindee, Brewarrina and Bourke. The children got to play games, eat great food and participate in the fantastic MALO Colour Run.
Half-yearly update July 2021
Dear Supporters, We are pleased to report that Kit Bag For Kids made significant progress across many objectives in the first half of 2021. First, and most importantly, we delivered a total of 6,505 items of sportswear and equipment to disadvantaged Australian children. This was a record six-month period reflecting continued growth in our footprint and also the successful recruitment of a number of enthusiastic volunteers. Staffing is an important contributor to success and we thank our volunteers for giving up so much of thier free time to help others. Donations were plentiful. We were delighted to accept large donations from Oxford Falls Grammar School, Northbridge FC, Lane Cove FC and numerous Junior AFL clubs as well as a large haul of footy boots from Juggles Football Culture. Donors are our life blood and their involvement is proudly displayed on our website. We were also extremely proud to be involved in a partnership programme with the NSW Office of Sport and Creative Community Concepts to take healthy lifestyle and mental health activities out to eight remote towns in the far west of NSW. Wattle Hill Basketball Project

New uniforms for Jilkminggan Blues
It is great to see these smart donated guernseys getting a second life. They were taken 120km South East of Katherine by the AFL NT Youth Development Team to a community called Jilkminggan. The ‘Jilkminggan Blues’ were thrilled to get to wear the uniforms.
